The story of Krazy Kat.
I worked for a General Contractor for 12 years, our office was on a very busy road. I was working on a set of plans one day when the lady in the business next door came to tell me there was a kitten under my car. As soon as I opened the door it took off, but I kept checking, and sure enough, there it was. I opened the door and off it took, so I went to the store and bought tuna, milk, and cat food. I put it out beside the building (L shaped) and watched it fill itself up. I had worked up to the point of it not running when I went out, it was getting close to going home time so I made my move, lol.
I had it worked out but I didn't count on the lady next door coming out when I did, so off it took toward the road. On the way to the road it fell into a water drain that was 6' deep and both ends were closed, so I called animal control. It took 2 people to lift the grate to get in there, so one of them go in and the others were over the other end with one of those lasso like things. They finally got it in the loop and started pulling it through the grate, I was screaming at them about not breaking it by doing that. Anyway, they got it caged and I asked what would happen to it, they said he was feral so he would be put down. I had to beg them to let me have him, but they gave in and let me bring their cage home with him in it. I took him to the mater bathroom and opened the cage, and out he walked, calm but leery. He lived in the bed/bath for a few years because I had 4 dogs and other cats. When I introduced him to the other cats he had no problems so he got to move to the rest of the house. He was one of the sweetest cats I've had, and I've had/have maaannnyyy.
He crossed the Rainbow Bridge today and I hope all the others who have gone before him were there to meet him.
Rest in peace sweet Krazy Kat, like all the others, you will always be in my heart.
